OVERVIEW:

Seeking candidates to provide SME level support to Theater Battle Management Core Systems (TBMCS) in support of Marine Corps Tactical Systems Support Activity (MCTSSA).  MCTSSA conducts testing, evaluation, engineering, and provides direct technical support to the Fleet Marine Forces for Marine Corps and Joint Service command, control, computer, communications, intelligence (C4I) systems and expeditionary combat vehicle systems in order to inform acquisition decisions to make Marines more capable.  MCTSSA provides the only Marine Corps organic, operationally relevant, MAGTF Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence (C4I) architecture for enterprise-level testing, engineering, analysis, troubleshooting, and solutions. This environment directly supports investment decisions for the Objective Network by establishing a rigorous and repeatable process to evaluate proposed changes and cyber vulnerabilities from the tactical edge and throughout the Marine Corps Enterprise Network. MCTSSA enables Joint Communications Exercises, Joint Interoperability Testing, Tactical Cloud Implementation, Cyber Developmental Testing, Naval Integration, tactical networking/voice, and System of Systems testing. This environment is also the sole solution in the Marine Corps for Link-16 Tactical Data Link Networks for air-to-air, ship, and shore targeting and messaging, validated at MCTSSA before Marine/Navy use in theater.

GENERAL DUTIES:

  • Development of event architectures and documentation in support of TBMCS test and engineering events
  • Providing TBMCS and Marine Corps operational expertise for planning and executing test and engineering events
  • Review and provide written comments and recommendations to operational, technical, and test documentation
  • Provide technical and operational recommendations during test and engineering events, and provide written feedback, to include interoperability recommendations
  • Provide on-site operations and training support (Instructor and Key Personnel Training and New Equipment Training (NET)) for the delivery or update of TBMCS to the Fleet Marine Forces (FMF) and supporting agencies
  • Provide and document TBMCS troubleshooting and resolution for issues encountered during FMF operations, system integration, test preparation and execution, engineering, and training efforts

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Knowledge of and at least 5 years’ experience providing direct support to the use, management, sustainment and improvement of USMC TBMCS.
  • Honorable USMC experience with a Military Occupational Skill (MOS) 72XX, 7041, or 5974.
  • 8570 baseline IAT certification required.  Level II-III preferred.
  • Some travel required
