OVERVIEW:
We are seeking a highly motivated Software Engineer to join our team and contribute to our mission of compiling government and commercial flight/maritime data through Big Data Applications in a DevOps Environment. As a Software Engineer, you will play a critical role in determining technical objectives for the development and modification of enterprise-wide end-user, system level, and data management software applications. This position offers a unique opportunity to work on new development with the support of a great team utilizing agile methodologies. You will have the chance to work on data processing projects, including geospatial tracking applications and target tracking. Additionally, you will be supporting the NRO and contributing to the development of our product. GENERAL DUTIES:
- Determine technical objectives for user requirements and specifications and plan for enterprise software development within the broader organizational scope
- Formulate plans and guides the development and implementation of software solutions including language, coding, platform, resource requirements, testing, and documentation.
- Plan and coordinate deployment of enterprise applications including cross-platform compliance.
- Plan and coordinate the maintenance of enterprise solutions including debugging, maintenance, and updating to ensure viability in an evolving environment.
- Plan for future applications based on new developments in computer technology.
- May provide direction and guidance to less experienced developers or the team of developers.
- Assist in the development of additional sources of revenue.
- Maintain the strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, information systems or related discipline with 10 years of experience
