3111 - Infrastructure Engineer

GENERAL DUTIES:
- Write software to efficiently manipulate data in a way that's useful for machine learning and other forms of analysis
- Create and maintain container orchestration and virtualization environments for prototype development and testing
- Set up and troubleshoot hardware to power development environments while ensuring compliance with local security rules
- Support an analytics pipeline by improving and/or troubleshooting aspects of its engineering design
- Design and/or implement software solutions for existing engineering challenges
- Contribute to new and better techniques to support customer goals
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- 6-12 years of DevOps/systems/software engineering experience (Python, Scripting, System Administration, Virtualization, networking, storage and compute platforms, etc.)
- B.S. degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or similar technical discipline. 4 years of experience can substitute for a B.S. degree

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience with systems/tools such as Kubernetes, Helm, Elasticsearch and Docker
- Experience with programming languages beyond Python such as C, C++, Java, and/or Go
- Experience with working on Linux systems and debugging networking/security issues (i.e. knowing where to find logs, handling common errors, Googling things before asking for help)
- Familiarity with distributed computing environments and related frameworks such as Hadoop
