OVERVIEW:
We are seeking a Systems Engineer to become a member of their Deployment Team who will support multiple teams across the customer’s program in an Agile team environment. The team deploys custom, GOTS and COTS software and supports our internal and external customers by assisting with questions and troubleshooting.
The candidate will work effectively within a team and across multiple engineering functions (Development, Security, Systems Engineering, DevOps) to provide our customers with a secure system and new capabilities, and is expected to collaborate cross-functionally with government personnel, subcontractors, local engineers, and geographically dispersed teammates.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 5 years of professional experience; or 3 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree.
- Considered career, or journey, level.
- Prior system administration experience working with one or more of the following environments and applications:
1. Red Hat Enterprise Linux
2. Windows Server
3. Amazon Web Services
- Experience and familiarity with one or more of the following:
1. COTS & GOTS software installation, updates, and maintenance
2. Linux shell scripting
3. Linux command line proficiency
- Experience with AWS EC2 instances, RDS, and S3
- Demonstrated experience working across multiple teams and job functions, bridging both sustainment and enhancement priorities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and an ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, collaborative team environment
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 2 years of geospatial domain experience
- System administration experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Windows Server, AWS
- Experience managing and working with AWS S3, and EFS file systems
- Experience with AWS auto scaling groups and CloudFormation
- Experience troubleshooting and working with MySQL or PostgreSQL
- Administration, operations, and maintenance of enterprise cloud systems
- Administration, operations, and maintenance of non-cloud virtual environments
- Experience applying and implementing operating system patches and upgrades
- Experience with GVS Map of the World
- Familiarity with RMF, NIST 800-53 controls, STIGs
- Experience with geospatial visualization tools such as ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcEarth, and/or Google Earth
- Experience working within SAFe or other Agile Release Trains
- Security+ or equivalent IAT Level II DoD approved 8570 baseline certifications
- A TS/SCI clearance, with a final TS is desired, but not a requirement to start.
CLEARANCE:
- Secret minimum with the ability to obtain a Top Secret with SCI clearance
