OVERVIEW:

‍As a Network/IT Architect Subject Matter Expert, you will provide support for Open Systems Storage Administration by assisting in the design, administration, maintenance, and support of the backup/recovery infrastructure at our customer’s data centers and at seven Regional System Support Centers (RSSCs).

‍GENERAL DUTIES:

• Administering backup master servers, backup member servers, and storage administration servers.
• Administering storage including Storage Area Network and Network Attached Storage.
• Administering backup/recovery infrastructure.
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving infrastructure problems.
• Install, configure, monitor, and manage Dell EMC storage subsystems.
• Install, configure, monitor, and maintain Cisco and Brocade directors and switches.
• Configure, monitor, manage, and upgrade Dell and Sun servers running Windows, Solaris, and Linux.
• Install, configure, monitor, and manage Data Domain de-duplication appliances.
• Analyze, determine, and provide technical support required to ensure sufficient availability of storage media.
• Open, update, and close tickets as required.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• BS Degree and/or 10 years in direct network management experience.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in providing network engineering support.
• Strong oral presentation skills and the ability to articulate English in a clear and concise manner.
• Experienced in the use of the following hardware and software:
• Hardware:

          - Dell and Sun/Solaris servers

          - Dell EMC storage subsystems

          - Data Domain de-duplication appliances

          - Storage Area Network (SAN), including Brocade and Cisco switches/directors Network Attached Storage (NAS)

• Software:

          - Microsoft Windows

          - Sun/Solaris/UNIX/Linux

          - Veritas NetBackup, Veritas Cluster

          - Veritas Volume Manage

          - Veritas Storage Foundation HA

          - Cisco Device Manager

          - Cisco Fabric Manager

          - Brocade Webtools

          - Dell EMC PowerPath

          - Dell EMC Unisphere

• Disk storage fundamentals
• Virtual Tape storage fundamentals
• Storage management fundamentals

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Strong Linux experience

• US Citizenship required with the ability to obtain Public Trust clearance
