OVERVIEW:
The Senior Director is responsible for managing business systems supporting business functions for the Federal & Defense Services Segment of the Customer. Their core business systems include Deltek Costpoint ERP, Deltek Time Collection, Hyland OnBase, Cognos Reporting, Technomile CRM, in-house custom-developed applications and many others. The Director manages the Federal Business Systems team, including developers, business analysts and application administrators responsible for the management of Federal Business Systems.
The Senior Director will report to the Group President, provide strategic leadership to steer and support technology initiatives. The Director is based in the Customer's Northern VA headquarters and will work with dispersed IT teams across US and global offices.
GENERAL DUTIES:
- Inspire and lead the Federal Business Support Team, including mentoring, coaching, evaluation, and professional development.
- Provide strategic leadership, organizational vision and day-to-day operational oversight of all aspects for Federal Business applications and systems, supporting global logistics, finance and application development.
- Manage Federal Business systems, supporting the Deltek Costpoint ERP and other financial tools/applications and systems, including upgrades and implementation of new features.
- Act as project manager for complex business systems transformations and acquisition integrations.
- Prepare effective business cases for systems improvements and/or alternative new systems. Clearly articulate non-financial and financial benefits and costs, and effectively influence stakeholders.
- Proactively identify and maximize synergies and efficiencies across business systems
- Collaborate with leadership to establish and implement relevant metrics for monitoring Information Technology performance.
- Effectively manage the department financials (including optimizing software licenses and consulting fees) and ongoing resource management needs.
- Collaborate with key business stakeholders to foster innovation and provide best-in-class solutions that drive revenue and profit.
- Build relationships and teams across organizational boundaries by effectively communicating, cooperating, and collaborating with all technology and business stakeholders.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be a results-oriented, cross-functional leader with strong business acumen. High level of curiosity and ability to monitor emerging new technologies to drive business results.
- IT professional with Bachelor's degree in a technology-related field, with 12+ years of experience.
- 8+ years of Deltek ERP systems, IT application and solutions development, delivery and support experience. Strong experience with application architecture and experience setup.
- 5+ years of experience in a management level position, building and leading high-performing teams.
- Strong working (hands-on) experience managing Deltek Costpoint ERP systems, Hyland or other business system deployments.
- The ability to function as a hands-on player, jumping in to help as needed while not losing sight of the big picture.
- Solid understanding of SOX compliance.
- Demonstrated ability to plan and execute projects cross-functionally including acquisition integrations, new module or system implementations, systems selections and maintenance / hot fix updates.
- Business Process Expertise – have a deep understanding of and ability to articulate best practices across core business processes; ability to integrate acquired business into existing business processes.
- Systems Implementation – multiple experiences implementing business systems, integrations and managing the process to design, build, test and deploy systems.
- Exceptional management & organizational skills enabling real-time prioritization, an effective intake process for the team and a strong ability for holding the team accountable to results.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience with cloud and SaaS platform-based solutions is highly desirable
- Knowledge of inventory software such as LamLinks and RFGen
- Cloud Computing Information Technology or Security Certification.
- Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally, possibly up to 20%
