OVERVIEW:
Activities will focus on the design, development, maintenance, enhancement, and documentation of software systems. May work independently or in a lead technical role, developing system architecture and requirements, defining processes and methodologies, resolving complex technical issues or research problems. Candidate may have responsibility for directing the software activities of a large program.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Confidently provide software development services in a government setting.
- Design and develop lifecycle software solutions by analyzing stakeholder requirements.
- Familiarity with and understanding of diverse engineering disciplines.
- Collaborate with users or systems engineers
- Experience with the design and implementation of enterprise systems.
- Ability to identify technology gaps within current processes and capabilities to foster continual improvement for customer.
- Experience with the development and maintenance of systems that require the integration of COTS, GOTS, and other Open-Source products.
- Design and implement software solutions to solve complex problems.
- Working knowledge of integration systems.
- Develop software system installation or build procedures or scripts.
- Analyze and resolve system performance issues.
- Motivated and excited to be part of a hands-on team.
- A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline nine (9) years of relevant experience; Master’s degree and eight (8) years of experience.
- Geared toward developers with programming languages.
- Proficient in Java, Python, etc.
- Experience with SW packaging, Container vs. Operating Systems, Writing new code for new systems.
- Experience with Selenium, Robot Framework, Robot Tests
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience with Linux
- Experience with Python. Specifically for the usage of Groovy and Robot frameworks
- Manual Testing: Understanding of RVTM, manual testing, command line Linux
- Experience with Gitlab, Docker (knowledge on how to build containers), and Kafka would be nice to have as well
