OVERVIEW:
This role requires strong technical advisory and direct support of the DoD customer with current subject matter expertise in geospatial technology, primarily the full Esri stack and ArcGIS Platform. The successful candidate will be able to serve as a trusted advisor and advocate to the customer and stakeholders across the program and provide support and advice on GIS solutions, architectures, best practices, product evaluation, and planning. This role will be mostly technical hands on with requirements to help design, administer and maintain the ArcGIS Platform across the enterprise. This role may be on-site or remote and will directly support the customer at a government facility.
GENERAL DUTIES:
- Enterprise GIS (Esri) design, and implementation support and solution development
- Apply subject matter expertise, best practices and standard operating procedures for DoD Installation and Environment, Installations Geospatial and Information Services (IGI&S) business requirements
- Provide reviews, assessments and document recommendations/strategies and architectures in support of an Enterprise IGI&S Program
- Established experience and understanding of geospatial integration with IT including, web services, databases and security
- Experience and understanding with data standards and management
- Working and communicating with stakeholders, various organizations, and the direct customer via meetings, briefings, and presentations
- Collaborating with technical leadership, management and SME's to provide the customer with the best, most current technical and best practices support and recommendations
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s or master’s in geography, computer science, engineering, mathematics, GIS, or a related field, depending on position level
- Demonstrated proficiency with ArcGIS Enterprise, Portal for ArcGIS/ArcGIS Online
- 2+ years geospatial systems engineering experience
- Experience with technical implementation of new features related to GIS (UI, data, workflow, services)
- Experience with monitoring and maintaining GIS
- Experience with troubleshooting GIS and resolving system and user issues
- Experience with data services and ingests for GIS (e.g. WFS, WMS, ETL)
- Experience documenting security controls for GIS
- Experience with documenting and demonstrating processes and procedures
- Experience working in different production and development environments, including cloud-based and on-premises
- Experience with ArcGIS commercial software (Desktop, Pro, Explorer, Collector, S123, Workforce, Tracker, Field Maps)
- Exceptional customer service orientation
- Excellent writing, presentation and communication skills

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3+ years’ experience in geospatial/Esri technology with design, implementation and administration of Esri ArcGIS Platform
- Experience with IGI&S, SDSFIE, Real Property and geospatial support for U.S. Military Installations and Ranges
CLEARANCE:
- US Citizenship required with and ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. DoD CAC
