2172 - Propulsion Depot Site Activation Analyst

OVERVIEW:

Support defense acquisition and sustainment commands with life cycle logistics planning and execution. Apply advanced consulting skills, extensive technical expertise, and full industry knowledge. Conduct logistics, supportability, reliability, maintainability, and operational analyses and provide recommendations for tailoring, optimizing, and establishing logistics element requirements in support of aircraft, weapon systems, training, or support equipment programs. Support planning and programming activities to enable successful activation of CONUS and OCONUS F-35 propulsion Maintenance, Repair, Overhaul, and Upgrade (MRO&U) capabilities. Ensure logistics infrastructure for F-35 depot maintenance, modification, repair and overhaul, in-service engineering, and logistics requirements of all F135 propulsion maintenance sites are met. Evaluate existing and future depot maintenance activities and support service capability and capacity level changes at DoD organic and international activities to support the F-35 fleet. Support the development of a Joint Service and International Partner Depot Maintenance Strategy that optimizes the expertise, capability, and logistics support infrastructure resident at MRO&U activities to provide "best value" depot maintenance.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 10+ years of experience in acquisition Level of Repair Analysis (LORA), Maintenance Planning, Logistics Support, and Supportability Analysis, Operational Availability analysis, or resource requirements analysis related to in-service support of advanced DoD aviation weapons systems
  • Experience in acquisition logistics processes and the depot logistics support system structure
  • Knowledge of the interrelationships between depot logistics support and related industrial functions, including technical, logistics, management, accounting of costs, capability growth, and potentials
  • Ability to gather and analyze a variety of depot maintenance program information, make sound judgments concerning depot maintenance program progress, and effectively communicate recommendations orally and in writing
  • Bachelor's degree

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with Air Force or Navy depot maintenance planning
  • Experience with F-35 program management
