1523 - Lead Physical Access Control & IDS Manager

OVERVIEW: 

Lead a small team that operates, maintains, secures, and repairs multiple physical security systems across multiple NASIC facilities. Systems include Access Control System for badging and granting access to secure areas, an Intrusion Detection System that monitors authorized and unauthorized access to NASIC facilities, and a Closed Circuit Television system that monitors and records audio/video of all aspects of the physical environment.  Responsible to maintain and sustain integration of Top Secret Access Control System with the Intelligence Community Badge System ensuring all authorized IC Badged personnel are granted access to NASIC facilities.  Manage sustainment services support to a variety security control and access equipment. Must be able to perform fault diagnosis, repair, overhaul, refurbishment, scheduled preventative maintenance services include installation as well as calibration and alignment. Maintenance support includes electronics and mechanical support such as turnstiles and electronic control unit (ECU) repair also provide a 24x7 technical support.  The team will also provide Windows/SQL Hardware/Administration support to include software updates, license software changes, update to antivirus application, installation of OEM software updates and patches, executing scripts to add/delete/modify accounts, fields, Organizational Units, filters, and General Policy Object coverage, updating hostnames, internet protocol (IP) numbers and managing IP assignments, changes, conflicts, resolutions, providing SQL Administration support to review for possible failures or database corruption, proper backup and restore operation, Domain Name Service configuration integration and Network integration services and provide DAQ StarWatch SMS Enterprise Maintenance to include database maintenance support for SQL Server like database changes and recovery, software updates, bug fixes and patches, OS updates and support, event log and hardware failure monitoring, daily system backups and mirroring support and configuration control.  Also support the maintenance of the the vehicle gate and pedestrian gate control and database synchronization between local ACS database and Air Force IC Badge database at the Air Force District of Washington to ensure all IC Badge information is current.

GENERAL DUTIES:

  • Maintain and sustain integration of Top Secret Access Control System with the Intelligence Community Badge System ensuring all authorized IC Badged personnel are granted access to NASIC facilities
  • Coordinate between NASIC Security Office and NASIC Facility Engineers for modification and new requirements
  • Document all installations, configuration changes, network layout, and alarm views
  • Adding/deleting users, modifying permissions, and attributes
  • Completing ad hoc queries and reports as requested by Government personnel

  • Maintain and administer NASIC’s Access Control System (ACS), to include all cameras, recorders, remote access units, turnstiles, portal electrical latch assemblies, servers, and associated database
  • Provide monthly preventive maintenance schedule is conducted for non-emergency requirements including servers, storage devices, controllers, database backup, and door hardware support.
  • Provide updates to portal tables, access permissions, user accounts, roles, mapping, workspace, and devices for ACS and IDS.
  • Install portal devices using OEM best practices
  • Provide non-emergency maintenance completed within approved schedule downtime
  • Provide emergency or critical maintenance completed within approved time period
  • Ensure defective parts are documented and sent to the vendor for repair
  • Ensure vendor repairs are received and tested and returned to Government bench stock
  • Ensure warranty repairs are installed and tested then the devices are returned to operation service for redistribution to the customers
  • Provide firmware updates, configurations, and portal assignments.
  • Provide Sonic Crypto/Cisco switches support to included rekeying/assigning IP addresses/subnet
  • Install and support over 64 fixed and PTZ Bosch internal and external Cameras
  • Support 8 digital recorders
  • Provide maintenance of CCTV distribution network, including remote monitoring stations
  • Support CCTV alarm call-ups and presets
  • Installation and maintenance of multi-vendor “Omega/Fastlane” turnstile support
  • Support NASIC turnstiles which are ingress/egress devices which activate a barrier device during violation to control entrance or exit from the facility
  • Provide Windows/SQL Hardware/Administration support to include software updates, license software changes, update to antivirus application, installation of OEM software updates and patches, executing scripts to add/delete/modify accounts, fields, Organizational Units, filters, and General Policy Object coverage, updating hostnames, internet protocol (IP) numbers and managing IP assignments, changes, conflicts, resolutions, providing SQL Administration support to review for possible failures or database corruption, proper backup and restore operation, Domain Name Service configuration integration and Network integration services
  • Provide maintenance for Diebold LINX Predator Elite to include database maintenance support for SQL Server like database changes and recover, software updates, bug fixes and patches, OS updates and support, event log and hardware failure monitoring, system backups and mirroring support and configuration control.
  • Provide DAQ StarWatch SMS Enterprise Maintenance to include database maintenance support for SQL Server like database changes and recovery, software updates, bug fixes and patches, OS updates and support, event log and hardware failure monitoring, daily system backups and mirroring support and configuration control
  • Install and maintain the vehicle gate and pedestrian gate control
  • Install and maintain the TOA call box for entry point to guard post communication system
  • Manage database synchronization between local ACS database and Air Force IC Badge database at the Air Force District of Washington to ensure all IC Badge information is current
  • Maintain architectural diagrams and shall document all installations/changes in accordance with NASIC guidance
  • Maintain list of equipment associated with this functional area

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma
  • IAT Level II Certification
  • Minimum 7 years of experience

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree
