Develops block diagrams and logic flow charts for digital collection systems.
Translates detailed collection system design into computer software.
Tests, debugs, and refines the computer software to produce the required product for digital collection systems.
For the collection systems, prepares both program-level and user-level documentation, with Government collaboration/direction.
Enhances collection software to reduce operating time or improve efficiency.
QUALIFICATIONS
Must have 4-7 or more years of technical experience as an applications programmer on computer and database management systems with at least 1-2 or more years specifically supporting law enforcement digital collection systems.
Requires high degree of competence in analyzing functional business applications, design specifications for functional activities, translating program and legal requirements to develop new or update existing software.
Possess knowledge of computer equipment and the ability to develop complex software to satisfy the legal, functional, operational, and security needs of digital collection systems.
Requires competence in designing user interfaces, back end develop, and databases to support collection systems.
Must Know Java, Linux
Bachelor’s degree in software engineering or related field.
