GENERAL DUTIES

  • Develops block diagrams and logic flow charts for digital collection systems.
  • Translates detailed collection system design into computer software.
  • Tests, debugs, and refines the computer software to produce the required product for digital collection systems.
  • For the collection systems, prepares both program-level and user-level documentation, with Government collaboration/direction.
  • Enhances collection software to reduce operating time or improve efficiency.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must have 4-7 or more years of technical experience as an applications programmer on computer and database management systems with at least 1-2 or more years specifically supporting law enforcement digital collection systems.
  • Requires high degree of competence in analyzing functional business applications, design specifications for functional activities, translating program and legal requirements to develop new or update existing software.
  • Possess knowledge of computer equipment and the ability to develop complex software to satisfy the legal, functional, operational, and security needs of digital collection systems.
  • Requires competence in designing user interfaces, back end develop, and databases to support collection systems.
  • Must Know Java, Linux
  • Bachelor’s degree in software engineering or related field.
