The Linux Systems Administrator support infrastructure and applications, as part of a 5 days x12 hour/day secure mission system operations.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and report on infrastructure, data feeds, and application availability and system performance.
Perform infrastructure and application operations and maintenance support.
Troubleshoot server virtualization issues.
Develop and maintaining installation and configuration procedures for new server builds and STIGs.
Develop custom scripts to automate systems administration.
Support change requests and problem tickets.
Ensuring proper planning and execution of major projects/maintenance activities.
Documenting standard operating procedures, knowledge articles, and troubleshooting tips.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s Degree (or 4 years of additional relevant experience)
Certification: Requires 8570 compliance (IAT Level 2) such as CompTIA Security +
Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of hands-on Linux experience and expertise working on classified systems in both:
CentOS/RHEL Linux Systems Administration or Systems Engineering
Scripting languages (PowerShell, Python, Bash, or Perl) Experience with developing, securing and delivering hardware and software updates and enhancements through testing, security assessment and authorization, and production readiness reviews.
Must demonstrate strong teamwork, organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
Must demonstrate strong initiative to accept new technical challenges in complex system engineering assignments.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Certification and/or Experience with AWS cloud
Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification(s)
DoD or Intelligence Community service.
Experience and relationships with DIA.
Hands-on Experience with VDI hosting and virtualization with VMWare and/or Nutanix
Experience supporting NiFi data flows
Experience supporting Apache Tomcat webservices
Experience installing, managing, and updating applications and services hosted on Linux servers.
