OVERVIEW:
The Federal Account Executive will be responsible for sourcing and nurturing and closing business to both existing and new opportunities with federal customers.
In addition, the role will provide technical expertise in support of proposals, creating white papers and proposals, and directing and cultivating opportunities with existing contracts and new business pursuits. The Account Executive will use their existing relationships and build new relationships to support opportunity sourcing and provide expertise in developing and driving deals to meet annual sales goals and long-term forecasts.
GENERAL DUTIES:
- Achieve quarterly and yearly sales targets
- Identify and nurture new opportunities fitting our core capabilities
- Develop and work with Sales Engineers on technical solutions to establish new revenue opportunities within our organization
- Work with Bid & Proposal and Capture teams in developing strategy, teaming, and client communication plans
- Identify technical/solution gaps and benefits of teaming partners and manage required NDAs, TAs, and partnership agreements
- Prepares and presents company capability statements and other new business information presentations
- Present, blog, tweet and participate in related industry forums and conferences to become a recognized thought-leader in GEOINT solutions
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, IT/GIS, Geography, or relevant military experience. Additional experience can be substituted for education
- Experience leading business development activities within Intel and combatant command IDIQ contracts
- 10+ years of experience or equivalent leading technical development or program management in remote sensing, geospatial analytics, and data integration projects with a proven win ratio
- Effective oral and written communication skills coupled with the ability to establish and maintain productive customer and industry participant networks are essential
- Proven track record of technical writing and providing in-depth color reviews
- Efficiency in the use of Microsoft (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
- Experience using Salesforce or similar CRM system
- Experience mining and leveraging GovWin, BGov, SAM.gov, GSA eBuy, and similar systems
- Highly motivated to seek new opportunities and close deals
- An established self-starter with a track record of developing new opportunities with little oversight
- Experience and understanding of how Federal agencies buy technology-based solutions
- Ability to rapidly qualify sales opportunities where the customers have budget, authority, need, and has established the time for the acquisition
- Capable of presenting new technologies and ideas to decision makers with little oversight
- Capable of developing win themes, acquisition strategies, and leading both sources sought and RFP responses to Federal solicitations
- Consultative in nature. Possess the ability to understand and solve the client’s business problem
- Thorough understanding in how to partner with leading system integrators and lead Prime pursuits on GWACs
- Ability to engage clients, flush out requirements and tie back to core company capabilities.
- Experience tracking and qualifying leads, driving the sales cycle, and close opportunities
- Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Ability to multi-task, organize, and prioritize multiple on-going projects
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proven business development experience with custom solution services in the Federal sector
- Experience building solutions with the Esri technology stack
- Experience with Enterprise GIS
- Experience with geospatial data processing, analytics, and dissemination
- Experience with computer vision and machine learning
- Experience with cloud environments
- Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility preferred
