OVERVIEW:

Apply your systems engineering and/or configuration management expertise to drive customer success. Leverage your current skillset in a fast-paced environment, working with a team of engineers and developers tasked with building next-generation research, development, and production environments entirely on top of Amazon Web Services cloud technologies. You will be an integral part of the team, focusing on bridging the gap between customer requirements and the technical deliverables being worked by the engineering team. This is a multi-faceted position requiring you to balance time between requirements gathering, configuration management, systems engineering, sprint planning, and more. This position offers the opportunity to be a part of one of the most unique programs within the customer organizations, helping solve advanced challenges with the latest technologies in an unclassified environment.

GENERAL DUTIES:

  • Interact with customers and program leads to track requirements, prepare contract deliverables, and plan technical sprints
  • Prepare documentation to effectively convey program performance and needs
  • Be a liaison between customers and engineers, bridging the gap between customer requirements and our technical solutions
  • Participate in customer status report or requirements meetings
  • Manage configuration management and change control within the environment
  • Should be comfortable managing the delivery expectations of solutions and being able to identify gaps in government requests

DESIRED QUALIFICATION:

  • At least 2 years of experience gathering requirements, performing configuration management, or participating in systems engineering positions of similar scope.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with a keen sense of customer service.
  • Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Process oriented with great documentation skills.
  • Associate’s degree in a technical or business discipline from an accredited college or university (an additional 2 years of experience may be substituted for a degree).

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience working with technical organizations.
  • Familiarity with IT or cloud technologies
  • Expertise with developing documents and presentations using MS Office
  • Familiarity with JIRA
  • Experience serving as a Scrum Master
