OVERVIEW:
We are seeking for a System Administrator to deploy and maintain our services. Duties include monitoring system performance, interacting with system users to troubleshoot issues, delivery of baselines to new environments, and maintaining existing deployments. This position requires coordination with our development, DevOps, and security teams to ensure our systems provide functionality to our users, while also meeting the security standards required by our customers.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma with 3+ years of experience
- System administration experience in highly secure Linux environments
- Experience with OS configuration management tools
- Experience with containers and container orchestration using Kubernetes
- Experience with VMWare, oVirt, or Red Hat Virtualization (RHV)
- Extensive experience with Python and Bash scripting
- Exposure to software version control tools (Git, SVN, etc.)
- Familiarity with CI/CD (continuous integration/continuous deployment) frameworks
- Experience with cloud platforms
- Must be willing to work on-site in Northern Virginia
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Current DoD 8570 IAT II Certification (Security+) or higher certification or ability to obtain certification within 4 weeks of starting role
- Puppet and/or Ansible experience
- Proficiency with Git
- AWS cloud platform experience
