OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a Software and Systems Support Specialist for growing work program in Quantico, VA. The candidate will work as part of our integrated customer and engineering team to perform various software and system functions in accordance with government requirements. GENERAL DUTIES:

  • Perform IV&V of software updates and features;
  • Manage and track IV&V tasks using JIRA or similar task tracking software;
  • Provide user customer support, to include user account creation, application troubleshooting, access management, and user inquiries/requests;
  • Monitor alerting system for back-end processes, troubleshoot, and work with Government PM and application development team for fast resolution to issues;
  • Provide support and direction at Government PM request; and
  • Perform application deployments on a bi-weekly interval or an interval dictated by the Government determined deployment schedule.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum Education: Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or Management, Information Systems, or related field of study; OR three (3) or more years of experience in software
  • Two (2) years of experience in technical customer service for software applications;
  • Two (2) years of experience working on site with a government customer;
  • One (1) year of experience performing Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) for software applications;
  • Possesses excellent writing and communication skills;
  • Experience with software development teams;
  • Ability to quickly problem solve, troubleshoot, and resolve database issues;
  • Preferably experience with Section 508 user interface testing,
  • Preferably experience with scripting tools for testing automation; and
  • Ability to follow detailed written directions and steps.

  • Experience with JIRA
  • Experience working with technical teams in government environments
  • Experience working directly with customers
