OVERVIEW:

We are seeking for a talented Testers that are willing to learn new technologies to support an innovative mission. The ideal candidate is a tester passionate about helping to drive our customers’ and company missions forward. The candidate must be self-motivated, a quick learner, and able to balance simultaneous tasks to keep pace with our team of high performers. There are multiple openings and labor categories available depending on experience level.

GENERAL DUTIES:

  • Design and develop test and testing requirements for products, systems, software and/or related technology with limited supervision.
  • Partner with applicable technology teams to determine testing parameters.
  • Write test plans and create test cases for the product.
  • Conduct quality assurance and design performance tests using established testing procedures.
  • Partner with other department engineers and developers in creating practical test demonstrations for proposed technology.
  • Troubleshooting any testing errors and streamline testing procedures.
  • Ensures that testing methodology and procedures meet company and industry standards.
  • Build and execute automated tests.
  • Prepare reports and analysis for testing.
  • Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology and best practices relevant to the industry. Provides mentoring to less-experienced personnel.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors Degree
  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience
  • Responsible for software verification and validation, including test planning, development, execution, analysis and associated documentation.
  • Coordinates testing activities for various projects.
  • Supports bug reporting and tracking and software test processes.
  • Assists in the development of the test strategy in order to meet the release schedule.
  • Adheres to established testing procedures. Works under general supervision. Responsible for defining test strategies, plans, procedures and reports.
  • Responsible for writing tests, executing those tests, and reporting the results. Initiates and analyzes problem reports and change proposals.
  • Ensures that hardware/software under test implements the functionality specified in all approved requirement documents and that it performs as expected from the customers perspective.
  • Develops strong cooperative relationships with development, project management teams and manager to achieve end-to-end product quality. Must have knowledge of Government security policies and familiarity with security-related technologies and auditing tools.
  • Designs, constructs and implements manual and automated tests that thoroughly exercise the product from the perspective of the customer.
  • Assesses system and software level requirement specifications, software design, interface design, test, and other development related documentation as needed.
  • Assists with implementation of the enhancements, including documentation, instruction and hands-on-training of others.
  • Has experience with JMeter.
