OVERVIEW:

The Technical Solutions Architect II is responsible for providing leadership and technical guidance at our corporation and its subsidiaries in the design and implementation of technology solutions to gain competitive advantage in support of business needs and strategy. The Technical Solutions Architect II translates business requirements into implementable technology solutions that optimally balance cost, speed of delivery, and value while leveraging existing technologies and standards whenever possible. The Technical Solutions Architect II provides leadership to ensure successful implementation working iteratively with the team to bring about successful and timely delivery of business-centric, integrated technology solutions aligned with Enterprise Architecture. The Technical Solutions Architect II is obsessed with customer service and has ownership of the customer experience.

GENERAL DUTIES:

  • Interacts with business stakeholders, application owners, vendors, and industry experts to align business requirements into technology solutions that optimally balance cost, speed of implementation, and value while leveraging existing technologies and standards whenever possible.
  • Conducts root cause analysis, assess requirements, and provide strategies and preventive measures.
  • Performs daily system monitoring, verifies the integrity and availability of all networking and systems infrastructure, key processes, review reports, responds to issues, and implements resolutions to avoid or reduce unplanned incidents or outage.
  • Prepares work product documentation, training materials, checklists, and standard documents to ensure a high quality of service delivery.
  • Promotes, adopts, and implements automation standards to streamline processes, and develop efficient workflows that positively affect the  corporation and its subsidiaries.
  • Leads, and delivers high quality IT solutions by evaluating, designing, and implementing technologies that ensure enhanced performance, security, stability, and efficiency in the delivery of quality services.
  • Coordinates, and collaborates with internal and external teams through assessing deliverables, organizing team meetings to improve communication, and aligning tasks with resources to meet project deadlines.
  • Implements software solutions leveraging the Microsoft core technology stack to support ongoing organization initiatives and business needs.
  • Provides escalation support per request from other support teams and training as needed.
  • Applies OS and firmware patches and upgrades on a regular basis. Upgrades administrative tools and utilities.
  • Performs periodic performance reporting to support capacity planning.
  • Adheres to change management processes, and proactively assesses, and executes changes to technology infrastructures that enhance overall system functionality, stability, and performance.
  • Reviews ticketing system to ensure assigned tickets are being identified and issue effectively resolved in compliance with policies and service-level agreements.
  • Leads, mentors, and coaches team members by helping to facilitate team-building exercises, leading group meetings and discussion forums, and promoting a positive work environment.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Sciences, Information Systems, or related major or equivalent years of work experience.
  • 8+ years of experience in designing, implementing, and securing Microsoft Active Directory and its associated technologies.
  • 8+ years of experience in administration, configuration and maintenance of systems and networks in an engineering technical role.
  • 8+ years of working experience with physical and virtual server infrastructure and systems security in an enterprise environment.
  • 8+ years of senior level experience in multiple information technology disciplines such as Client/Server technology, cloud-based IT services, data security and operating systems.
  • 8+ years’ experience in demonstrating the ability to translate business needs into architecture requirements.
  • This position requires up to 15% travel on an annual basis.
  • Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert certification in cloud platform and Infrastructure.
  • Practical knowledge of disaster recovery planning and methodologies.
  • Knowledge and understanding of technology trends and a broad knowledge of technology products and solutions.
  • Advanced knowledge of designing and implementing Microsoft core technology solutions (Windows platforms, Azure (IaaS, PaaS and SaaS), Exchange Server and Office 365).
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory Certificate Services (ADCS), Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), digital certificates, security tokens and the Windows Crypto API.
  • Advanced knowledge of Kerberos and Windows authentication, including SAML, LDAP and Basic.
  • Advanced knowledge of Client/Server network concepts, topologies, protocols, and Infrastructure including, but not limited to TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, WINS and how they operate on a client/server network.
  • Working knowledge of migrating and integrating applications to Active Directory and Microsoft Azure cloud services, including full domain migration.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Windows File and Print Services, file sharing, security, and scripting.
  • Working experience with virtualization technologies (Microsoft Hyper-V and VMWare).
  • Working experience in current server hardware and standards (HP, Dell, and Cisco UCS).
  • Working experience with storage arrays (SAN, NAS, and DAS).

CLEARANCE:

  • US Citizenship required
