OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a mid-level Financial Analyst to assist in financial analysis and planning in support of our corporate initiatives. The Financial Analyst will be part of the Corporate Operations team. This position requires a working knowledge of Government Contracting and Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A)  experience. The Financial Analysts will need to complete assignments of moderate complexity on time within a fast-paced environment and the ability to learn new processes and tools.

GENERAL DUTIES:

  • Performing routine and ad hoc analysis in support of various financial functions such as budgeting, auditing, and forecasting.
  • Collecting and reviewing financial data from various sources.
  • Creating, maintaining, and updating financial databases and spreadsheets, and generating various financial reports as required.
  • Performing analysis of programs to include projected hours, contract totals, revenues, and profit.
  • Supporting managers in managing, tracking, monitoring, and reporting financial data as requested.
  • Ensuring compliance with internal policies and procedures as well as other government regulations.
  • Create and analyze monthly, quarterly project/company performance, and reports.
  • Support month and quarter-end close activities including variance analysis.
  • Prepare forecasts and analyses of trends in finance, general business conditions, and other related areas.
  • Generate cost/price models, including both bid and execution scenarios.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Finance or Accounting
  • 5+ years of experience with emphasis on providing financial analysis, financial tracking, and financial reporting
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be organized, flexible, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Advanced level Microsoft Excel skills
  • Understanding of various contract types, including CPAF, CPFF, CPFF-LOE, FP-LOE, FFP and T&M.
  • Experience briefing senior leadership team on financial analysis.
