GENERAL DUTIES:

  • Leads proactive security vulnerability assessments, implementation, and monitoring of all computer security-related systems and network infrastructure utilizing tools such as ACAS, FireEye, HBSS, PaloAlto, SCCM, SCOM, SolarWinds, Splunk, and Tanium.
  • Performs vulnerability/risk analysis during all phases of the system lifecycle.
  • Assists in conducting certification and accreditation assessment and authorization (A&A) on applications IAW within RMF.
  • Implements, verifies, and maintains DISA STIG compliance.
  • Implements automated STIG compliance using SteelCloud ConfigOS tool.
  • Participates in threat mitigation of network intrusions and insider threat, by proactively probing network defenses to identify vulnerabilities.
  • Ensures the latest security updates are enforced, ensuring Information Assurance Vulnerability Alert (IAVA) and Tactical Computer Network Operator (TCNO) compliance.
  • Leads efforts to ensure real-time protection from any threats of active files using anti-virus tools.
  • Leads operation and maintenance of firewall(s), web proxies, caching servers, and email gateway servers to protect DC3 information resources from internal and external threats.
  • Ensure all current network security tools and patches are implemented across all internal DC3 systems in accordance with IAW AF and DoD standards.
  • Leads daily security scans of computer/network systems and advises the Government of potential computer security concerns and problems along with recommendations for solutions.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATION:

  • Requires 5 to 8 years with BS/BA or 3 to 5 years with MS/MA or 0 to 2 years with PhD.
