OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a Project Manager for our mission-critical customer in Sterling, VA. The Agile Scheduler is a member of a Project Support Team directly supporting the customer’s Project Management Office (PMO) and is responsible for developing and maintaining the IMS. This is an Agile integration program and the IMS reflects an Agile schedule.

GENERAL OVERVIEW:

  • Develop and maintain the program's schedule baseline to be presented at PMO weekly sync meetings, Release Planning and Retrospective meetings, and end of sprint review meetings. The schedule is a monthly deliverable.
  • Develops and executes agile programmatic schedules that align with customer needs
  • Attend weekly PMO status meetings and update schedules as needed
  • Attends meetings and briefs Senior Government Clients on schedule status and performance
  • Works independently with Release Train Engineers, government Solution Train Engineers and other team members to develop schedules, baselines, estimates, and reporting status
  • Analyze and track project interdependencies and performs schedule analyses as required
  • Develop program unique standards and process instructions for agile schedule integration activities
  • Develop schedule status reports used at Program Management Meetings
  • Manage Systems Engineering Integrated Product Team (SE-IPT) reporting to include report consolidation and meeting facilitation
  • Build integrity, establish relationships, and maintain communication with stakeholders at multiple levels, to distribute schedule information
  • Develop and maintains artifacts and other program documentation
  • May perform other duties and/or projects as assigned by the PMO Lead

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree and 5-7 years of related experience
  • 5 years of experience and proficiency with Microsoft Project
  • Knowledge and experience with Agile scheduling
  • Strong understanding of IMSs, schedule dependencies
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a government and contractor combined team
  • Team-player who has ability to effectively interface and communicate with other internal, external team members and external stakeholders to gather inputs, provide status, etc.
  • Self-starter who identifies issues and works to resolve them
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, and SharePoint)

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous experience supporting DHS programs
  • Experience supporting delivery of IT solutions in an Agile development environment
  • Working knowledge of Jira and/or Jira Align
  • Microsoft Specialist certification in Microsoft Project
  • SAFe Agile certification (SAFe Agilist, Practitioner)
  • Ability to obtain TS/SCI and DHS EOD
