1778 - Systems Integration & Testing Engineer

OVERVIEW:

The Systems Engineering, Integration & Test (SEIT) focal to assist the SEIT leader of a high performance engineering team interacting with customers, suppliers, program management, integration and test engineers, and IPT leaders. You’ll be responsible for all phases of the system development life cycle including requirements development, analysis and decomposition, software and hardware system design, risk management, integration, test and documentation.

GENERAL DUTIES:

  • Serve as a System Engineering, Integration & Test focal for the SENSE Near Earth Network (NEN)/ Direct To Earth (DTE) program.
  • Provide leadership over planning, scheduling, and risk management activities.
  • Support development and definition of complex systems architectures.
  • Support system and sub-system level development, requirements definition, multi-segment interface definition, architecture integration, functional analysis, and system design activities
  • Support system level integration and test planning and execution, including efficient management of SEIT resources.
  • Support the cross functional teams, lead and present at major program reviews.
  • Work with other subcontractors, organizational leaders and/or the customers resolve issues of a technical nature.
  • Collaborate with the Operations, IT Security, Mission Assurance and Task Order Leads to support Task Order requirements and deliverables across the program functional elements.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical, Systems Engineering or other related technical field with a minimum of 3 years related experience.
  • Hands-on experience as an individual contributor or leading teams in engineering requirements management to include design, development, derivation, validation, and verification of requirements.
  • Experience with supporting cross-functional teams.  
  • Experience working with customers to document, derive, and develop requirements.
  • Experience in International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Export Administration Regulations (EAR).

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience working knowledge of Earned Value Management is a plus.
  • Prior experience working for DOD or NASA programs/projects is a plus.
  • Experience working as an IPT lead and/or SEIT lead is a plus.
  • Leadership experience in systems design, architecture definition, and functional analysis.
  • Experience communicating complex technical projects to high-level stakeholders
