The selected individual will be part of a team within the development organization supporting numerous activities to include:
Designing, developing, customizing, testing, and debugging software to solve critical mission issues.
Applying the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development life cycle.
Applying knowledge of software, subject matter to be programmed in business/mission applications, information processing techniques used, and information gathered from system users to develop software.
Ensuring software standards are defined and met.
Design and develop technical solutions on the Appian Business Process Management (BPM) Suite in support of business/mission applications
Engage with various stakeholders to recommend business process changes and new features or capabilities to solve business problems.
Investigate and evaluate architecture design options
Applying knowledge of software, subject matter to be programmed in business/mission applications, information processing techniques used, and information gathered from system users to develop software.
Applying the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development life cycle.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience working with Workflow Manager Tools / software and working knowledge of Appian Work Flow Manager Tool to extend, adapt, and improve the Appian capabilities .
Working experience with AWS services and infrastructure.
Working experience with Database administration and architecture.
Working experience with software development, software maintenance, and software customization
A bachelor's degree in computer science or relevant field or equivalent job experience.
Three + years of experience in design, building and delivering Appian software solutions.
Experience in translating business process software requirements into prototypes and solutions.
Experience developing integrations using APIs.
Experience using CI/CD stack and understanding of DevSecOps practices.
Experience with agile software development methodologies.
Experience with recommending best practices and monitoring and identifying risks from Appian health checks.
Experience designing data models and schemas.
Experience with defining and documenting enterprise components and governance related to the use of Appian.
Experience designing and developing end-to-end solutions using Appian with other AWS services is a plus.
Appian certification is a plus.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Ability to complete tasks or project assignments with minimal supervision.
Ability to clearly communicate (verbal & written) complex technical concepts, design decisions and tradeoffs to varied target audience.
Ability to quickly learn and practically apply new concepts or principles, and develop proof of concepts.
Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment.
