Work collaboratively with the cloud engineering team to deploy and operate applications in AWS
Build and maintain tools for deployment, monitoring, and operations
Troubleshoot and resolve issues in the Dev, Test, Staging, and Production environments
Actively participate in software design, build, test and implementation phases of the DevSecOps process
Participate in discussions on requirements analysis, system architecture, code quality and change management controls
Design and develop automation to support continuous delivery and continuous integration processes in AWS
Collaborate with software developers, system operators and other IT staff members to plan and manage code releases
Install and configure solutions, implement reusable components, translate technical requirements, assist with all stages of test data, develop interfaces, and perform script maintenance and updates
Build automated deployments through the use of configuration management technology
Deploy new modules and upgrades, complete fixes within the production environment
Create procedures for implementing routine maintenance and code deployment
Make modules ready for production, moving modules between environments according to procedures
Troubleshoot existing information systems for errors and resolve errors
Primary location is Crystal City, VA with periodic visits to client sites in the DC Area
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Have the ability to work embedded with a HSI Field Office and HSI Headquarters Components. This includes having the ability to operate as a member of team in an often-high stress high tempo office environment.
4-6 years of professional experience deploying and maintaining AWS cloud infrastructure in medium to large enterprise leveraging robust infrastructure as code.
3 years of experience designing and implementing security countermeasures to maintain system compliance with DISA STIGs or similar U.S. Government security compliance regime.
3 years of experience configuring, tuning and maintaining big data technologies including at least two of the following: o Elastic Search o Cassandra o Janus Graph o H-Base
2 years of experience configuring, tuning and maintaining production Kubernetes container orchestration clusters.
2 years of experience configuring, tuning and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with included containerization deployments.
Strong knowledge of concepts, methodologies and best practices - especially as they pertain to mitigating development risks, estimating tasks, coding standards and source control procedures.
Expert level skills with: o Centos Linux o Windows Server o Containerization
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or Business with 6+ years’ experience
Desired hands-on experience with:
Direct Experience with DHS or Law Enforcement architectures and environments
One or more of the following certifications: AWS Certified Solution Architect or Software Developer
Experience with DevOps environments
Expertise in various COTS, GOTS, and open source tools which support development of data integration and visualization applications
CLEARANCE:
Active TS Clearance with ability to obtain TS/SCI Clearance
