OVERVIEW:
Candidate will work in development teams and use an agile driven software development cycle with continuous integration to design and develop software applications.
GENERAL DUTIES:
- Assisting with the data analyis of a fully-distributed, scalable, cloud-based system for storing, accessing and analyzing large geospatial datasets
- Implementing all phases of architecture, requirements gathering, design, development, integration, testing and information assurance
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
- 1-3 yrs. of related experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Demonstrated ability working with Python or R
- Demonstrated ability working with Machine Learning or Deep Learning
- Demonstrated ability working with large data sets and databases
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience with one or more of the following:
- SCRUM Team leadership, product owner, or similar role on an Agile team
- Previous Geospatial related projects
- SCIKit Learn
- Geospatial Data Processing (GDAL, OGR, PostGIS)
- Web Application Development with Angular, Leaflet, Open Layers
- Automated Testing Frameworks (JUnit, Mocha, QUnit)
- Databases (PostGIS, SQL, SQLite)
- Geospatial Servers (GeoServer, MapServer)
- Interface design experience in Java
- Developing cross platform apps with Kotlin or similar languages
CLEARANCE:
- U.S. Citizenship with openness to obtain security clearance
