OVERVIEW:
We are looking for a Security Engineer to assist the client leadership with system security analysis and accreditation procedures. The ideal candidate will be comfortable engaging with client leadership on a regular basis and interacting with other senior level team members.
GENERAL DUTIES:
- The candidate will understand and advise the client regarding critical application data and vulnerability points, coordinate with industry partners to advise the government regarding those security vulnerabilities and provide recommendations and advice on incident response and recovery plans. The candidate will promote information security awareness across the program, ensure security controls and processes are implemented, and develop appropriate security-related documentation.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- 10 years experience in software engineering, program design, configuration management and information system engineering
- 5 years experience in system security analysis & implementation and secure system engineering or design
- Experience with security monitoring and evaluation, including audits, assessment and risk management
- Experience with security awareness, training, incident response and management
- Experience working with POA&Ms
- Experience with Splunk
- Experience with ElasticSearch
- Experience with Microsoft Excel and other MS Office Products
- Understanding of cloud systems (AWS/Azure)
- Familiarity with Linux (RHEL7/8) and Windows Operating System
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies
- Familiarity with enterprise security scanning tools (Tenable, Burp Suite)
- Excellent communication skills
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or Information Systems
CLEARANCE:
- Top Secret with ability to obtain SCI
