OVERVIEW:
Seeking a talented SQL Database Administrator who is passionate about technology and working with customers to provide solutions for our mission-critical customer in DC. If you are looking to be challenged then this is the environment for you!
GENERAL DUTIES:
The candidate will be tasked to provide administration over SQL databases including setup, installation, configuration, reporting and developing SQL solutions. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for implementing STIG updates to the systems.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3 or more years of experience with software engineering
- 3 or more years of experience creating complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions and reports
- Experience with SQL server setup, installation, and configuration of the database engine
- Experience with reporting and integration services
- Experience with writing queries or SQL statements
- Experience with performance monitoring, troubleshooting and tuning
- Experience with setting up database maintenance job/tasks
- Experience with configuring database mail and setup of alert notifications relating to SQL Server and databases
- Experience in applying or implementing Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs)
- Excellent communication skills
- Active Top Secret Security Clearance
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Information Systems
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience with all levels of High Availability solutions such as Mirroring, Windows Failover Clustering and Always on High Availability Group
- Experience with Transparent Data Encryption (TDE)
- Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSIS)
- Experience with database and server security/vulnerability scans and creating scan reports
CLEARANCE:
- Top Secret with SCI eligibility
