The System Engineer must possess the knowledge and skills to take lead on the creation of Linux and/or Windows based servers and workstations. Candidate will work on both bare metal and virtual servers. Work will include systems design, building, and configuration to work within existing large data infrastructure. Systems will have to support the custom designed software and scripts. Candidate will have experience and be knowledgeable in configuration, installation, deployment, and maintenance of system and software applications (including database support, web services support, network support, etc).


  • Experience with Linux and/or Windows operating systems
  • Experience with building servers (bare metal & virtual)
  • Demonstrated ability to create and implement individual and group level policies
  • Experience with logging and monitoring tools, including ability to configure appropriate logging
  • Ability to document system builds and capture architecture and workflow diagrams
  • Attentiveness and detail-oriented approach
  • Ability to focus on multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to think critically and exhibit strong problem-solving skills
  • Must be able to accommodate a flexible work schedule that may include nights, weekends or holidays as required


  • Knowledge of PowerShell scripting
  • Understanding of network technologies, including Layer 2, Layer 3, VPN, Routing, Switching, Firewalls.,  etc
  • Experience in a ticket-based work environment a plus (e.g., ServiceNow) and Confluence/JIRA
  • Experience Confluence/JIRA
