OVERVIEW

Responsible for translating the client’s business requirements into specific systems, applications or process designs for very large complex IT solutions and integrating architecture. Acts as an advocate for the client as the ultimate authority on the architecture designed to address client business problems. Plans, implements, tests, documents, and maintains enterprise-wide solutions to total system or subsystems using internally created and/or off the shelf products. Analyzes and identifies all or part of a company's existing or new peripheral, network, and telecommunications systems requirements, taking into consideration the special technology needs. Establishes functional and technical specifications and standards, solves hardware/software interface problems, defines input/output parameters, and ensures integration of the entire system or subsystem. Provides direction for design activities. Often project-based, sometimes working at customer sites.

GENERAL DUTIES OVERVIEW

The individual selected for this position will support the Sponsor’s organization responsible for establishing Internet usage and deconfliction. This includes providing strategic planning, business planning, briefing/reporting preparation, and other types of Systems Integration support. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Work closely with Task Program Managers to develop and maintain detailed system delivery schedules for high a visibility program
  • Meet with various IT project managers individually and with others to review system and delivery details
  • Integrate multiple schedules by taking stakeholder requirements and available resources into consideration
  • Support program management in the tracking, analysis and reporting of stakeholder projects/programs by
  • Identify major milestones, decision points, project life-cycle, dependencies and other project events
  • Perform project progress monitoring to identify critical activities
  • Monitor potential scheduling constraints and issues related to multiple dependencies
  • Develop and maintain high level schedule reports to be provided to Program Management
  • Work in collaboration with program management team to drive consistency of the project scheduling approach to facilitate effectiveness and accuracy in project reporting
  • Assist Program management with evaluating schedule impacts
  • Assist in defining and implementing management processes and procedures regarding scheduling conflicts/changes
  • Acts as an advocate for the client’s program initiatives
  • Facilitate and participate in periodic schedule reviews

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven experience in simultaneously managing multiple projects and supporting schedules
  • Demonstrated experience in the use of Microsoft Office tools
  • Proven ability to multi-task and work independently; self-starter
  • Demonstrated organizational, collaboration, and interpersonal skills to effectively complete tasks
  • Excellent client-facing communication skills; ability to effectively communicate with varying levels of management and IT professionals
  • Ability to translate complicated information into less technical terms
  • Demonstrated on-the-job experience exhibiting oral and written communication skills to include giving briefings/presentation, planning, and facilitating meetings and providing support for technical documentation
  • Requires 10 to 12 years with BS/BA or 8 to 10 years with MS/MA or 5 to 7 years with PhD.
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in IT or management
